When old mobile phones are thrown in the bin they end up in landfill sites across the country. Once in these sites they do not break down and may pollute surrounding soil and waterways, damaging plant and wildlife.
4) What happens to my mobile phone once I have traded- in? top
If your mobile phone is in good working order it will be refurbished and sold on for reuse as an affordable means of communication predominantly in developing countries. Those that can’t be repaired are sent to be "end of life" recycled. The precious metals and other components that can be reused are extracted from the handset and any remaining materials smelted for energy recovery.

Try taking the battery cover off and look under the battery. The name of the manufacturer and mobile phone model are usually written on the sticker under the battery.

No, just bring in the mobile with its battery fully charged. Chargers and other accessories are not needed.

No, we do not need your SIM card. Please remove your SIM card before trading your phone.(Delete complete data as well from phone memory.)

If a mobile phone sent in to us turns out to be stolen or the subject of an investigation, we will hand these items over to the police and no payment will be issued for such goods.

We strongly advise that you remove your SIM card and delete all data, numbers and names on your phone prior to trade-in.
