1) What is the benefit of the foneswap program? top
The goal and benefit of the foneswap program is to collect your old, unwanted mobile phones and to properly reuse or recycle the electronic waste - maintaining our environment for future generations.

2) How can I participate in the foneswap trade-in program? top

3) What are the environmental benefits of recycling my phone? top
When old mobile phones are thrown in the bin they end up in landfill sites across the country. Once in these sites they do not break down and may pollute surrounding soil and waterways, damaging plant and wildlife.

4) What happens to my mobile phone once I have traded- in? top
If your mobile phone is in good working order it will be refurbished and sold on for reuse as an affordable means of communication predominantly in developing countries. Those that can’t be repaired are sent to be "end of life" recycled. The precious metals and other components that can be reused are extracted from the handset and any remaining materials smelted for energy recovery.

6) My phone isn’t on the list – what can I do with it? top
If your phone is not on the list then we are unable to offer any credit but we can collect your handset and recycle environment friendly to support the green initiatives.

7) Can you offer a value for a mobile phone that is damaged / faulty? top
Yes. We like to maximize the benefit we give you for selling your mobile phone. We pay up to 40% of the working phone value for your non working phone. (Term and Condition apply)

8) What if my phone is listed with no value? top
If your phone is listed but has no value we can still ensure this is recycled in the correct manner.

9) How do I know if my mobile phone is in working order? top
Please follow the steps mentioned in our site to evaluate the condition of your handset.

10) How do I find out the manufacturer and model of my mobile phone? top
Try taking the battery cover off and look under the battery. The name of the manufacturer and mobile phone model are usually written on the sticker under the battery.

11) Do I need to bring in all mobile accessories as well? top
No, just bring in the mobile with its battery fully charged. Chargers and other accessories are not needed.

12) Do I need to send the SIM card? top
No, we do not need your SIM card. Please remove your SIM card before trading your phone.(Delete complete data as well from phone memory.)

13) What if I change my mind? top
Unfortunately, mobile phones cannot be returned once exchanged.

14) How do I get paid? top
You will receive equivalent amount Geant gift vouchers which can be redeemed upon the purchase of a new handset from Geant Hypermarket Dubai. (Terms & conditions apply)

15) Is there a limit to the number of phones I can trade-in? top
The offer is limited to one phone per person at a time.

16) What happens if stolen mobile phones are submitted for trade-in? top
If a mobile phone sent in to us turns out to be stolen or the subject of an investigation, we will hand these items over to the police and no payment will be issued for such goods.

17) What happens with the data on my phone? top
We strongly advise that you remove your SIM card and delete all data, numbers and names on your phone prior to trade-in.

18) What if my mobile looks similar to one listed on the website but has a different model number to the mobile illustrated? top
Ans.18) Not all model variations have the same value. So even if your mobile looks similar to the one that is listed please make sure the model numbers are an exact match.
